GEF Seniors Housing considers the personal health, safety and wellness to be of prime importance for:                165x165

  • Employees
  • Volunteers
  • Residents, their families and visitors
  • Tenants, their families and visitors
  • Contractors
  • Internal and external customers

We are committed to the implementation and maintenance of our own comprehensive Health, Safety & Wellness Program, which provides a healthy, safe and injury free environment. In fulfilling this commitment to protect both people and property, GEF will maintain a Health, Safety & Wellness program conforming to the best practices. To be successful, such a program must start with proper attitudes toward injury and illness prevention on the part of everyone. We require cooperation in all health and safety matters, not only between management and employees, but also between each employee and his/her peers. Only through such a cooperative effort can this safety program continue to grow and be preserved in the best interest of all.

Safety is everyone's responsibility.

The main objective is a Health, Safety & Wellness program that keeps the number of injuries and damages to an absolute minimum. We are committed to being a leader of health and safety in the industry. It is our goal to reduce accidents, injuries and illnesses by finding and eliminating hazards in the work environment, educating employees on safe work practices and procedures and enabling all employees and contractors to understand their responsibilities for health and safety.

Complete endorsement, active participation, and enthusiastic cooperation in all elements of the health and safety program are expected of everyone. The safety information in this policy and the health and safety manual works with the Occupational Health & Safety Act and the General Safety Regulations, both of which are available at all sites for your reference and convenience. Let’s make health and safety an integral part of the Foundation’s culture! When in doubt – ASK!
