2022 Building for Life Fundraiser

Every day, GEF Seniors Housing focuses on providing quality, accessible and affordable housing and services for more than 3,800 low-to-moderate income seniors in Edmonton.
The need for safe, affordable and friendly housing and services for seniors in our city continues to grow.
At GEF, our focus is on much more than basic shelter: we are also firmly committed to positively contribute to the quality of life of each senior who makes a GEF community their home.
We have affirmed this commitment in our Quality of Life Philosophy:
“To provide seniors with accessible, affordable, and safe housing in comfortable and supportive environments that promote opportunities for them to successfully age in place.”
But we can’t do it alone. We need your help.
Every year, GEF Seniors Housing holds its Building for Life Breakfast Fundraiser.
Thanks to the generosity of donors like you, every year we have raised an average of more than $100,000. With these donations, we can improve our seniors’ quality of life, including activities and wellness and community services.
This year, the need is the same. But we all know this year isn’t like any other year.
As with all not-for-profits, we were unable to hold an in-person fundraising event, so we have moved the fundraiser
online.
When you donate to GEF Seniors Housing, you can pick between one of two funds:
Quality of Life Fund:
- Supports expansion of activities and wellness programming.
- Helps connect GEF seniors with supports and services in their building or in the broader community
Building for Life Fund:
Again this year, we ask for your generous support. It’s more important than ever, especially as more GEF seniors are staying closer to home these days.
