Providing safe and comfortable housing is just the first step. GEF Seniors Housing believes in genuinely improving Quality of Life for seniors. We do this by keeping rent and service fees affordable for low to moderate-income seniors, maintaining our buildings and grounds, and providing programs and services that contribute to the well-being of every senior who calls a GEF community home.
Government funding provides basic accommodations and essential services. We need your help to provide programs and services that enrich the lives of seniors by improving their mental, social, and physical well-being and creating a sense of relationship with the community at large.

GEF Seniors Housing is a Registered Charity with the Canada Revenue Agency, and we gladly welcome financial donations.
Every day, GEF Seniors Housing focuses on providing quality, accessible and affordable housing and services for close to 4,000 low-to-moderate income seniors in Edmonton.
The need for safe, affordable and friendly housing and services for seniors in our city continues to grow.
At GEF, our focus is on much more than basic shelter. We are also firmly committed to positively contribute to the quality of life of each senior who makes a GEF community their home.
We have affirmed this commitment in our Quality of Life Philosophy:
“To provide seniors with accessible, affordable, and safe housing in comfortable and supportive environments that promote opportunities for them to successfully age in place.”
But we can’t do it alone. We need your help.
With these donations, we can improve our seniors’ quality of life, including activities and wellness and community services.
When you donate to GEF Seniors Housing, you can choose between one of two funds:
Quality of Life Fund:
- Supports expansion of activities and wellness programming.
- Helps connect GEF seniors with supports and services in their building or in the broader community.
Building for Life Fund:
- Supports the building of new seniors’ communities.
