Every day, the Greater Edmonton Foundation (GEF) provides quality, accessible and affordable housing and life enrichment services for close to 4,000 low to moderate-income seniors.

We are proud of the work we do, but with almost 1000 seniors still waiting for affordable housing and supportive services, we need your help.

Enriching the lives of Edmonton Seniors

Providing safe and comfortable housing is just the first step. The Greater Edmonton Foundation believes in genuinely improving quality of life for seniors. We do this by: keeping rent and service fees affordable for low to moderate income seniors; maintaining our buildings and grounds; and providing programs and services that contribute to the wellbeing of every senior who calls a GEF community home.

Government funding provides basic accommodations and essential services. We need your help to provide programs and services that enrich the lives of seniors by improving their mental, social and physical well-being and creating a sense of relationship with the community at large.

Current Campaigns

Planting Days

During the month of May our corporate donors came out to support Planting Days and Adopt-a-Garden events at many of our facilities. Staff, volunteers, residents and their families, as well as our partners in the community came together to beautify the communal spaces around our properties!

Welcome Home from Giant Tiger

Residents in our Lauderdale Housing Facility were recently treated with welcome bags from the neighbourhood Giant Tiger. The bags consisted of household items sold at Giant Tiger to support tenants getting set up in their new apartment. Welcome bags were presented to the tenants at their 1st summer BBQ on July 11th and we thank Giant Tiger for their support!
